Aarushi Bute, Editor-in-Chief

Aarushi Bute, senior, is the Editor-in-Chief of the Marquette Messenger. She is passionate about public health, politics, and writing, particularly to give students a voice. Outside of the Messenger, she is involved in Rockwood Lives, Red Cross, FEMA, Rockwood Youth Connection and more. Outside of school, she likes to write, hang out with friends and family, go on long drives and of course loves to binge watch marvel movies.

Torgoley has created shirt designs for the guidance office before but after excitement and support from other staff members, she opened the shirt orders to the entire school. Torgoley is donating a portion of her proceedings to the MHS Food Pantry. “Our Food Pantry is in need of some extra assistance. So we thought we could donate to that,” Torgoley said.

A podcast called "Mindful Meditations" by Mindful.org is being played to alleviate burnout with a 15-minute meditation. Adam Avin, founder of Wuf Shanti Children’s Wellness Foundation, said practicing some form of mindfulness every day for at least five minutes is critical. “The object is not to be happy every second, but to be able to accept our emotions and regulate them in healthy ways, without judgment, and with kindness to ourselves and others,” Avin said.
