Chesterfield Mall, which opened in 1976, permanently closed on Saturday, Aug. 31. The demolition of the mall is scheduled for Oct. 15, marking the end of an era. The Staenberg group, the owners of the property, have planned a $2 billion dollar redevelopment project called Downtown Chesterfield. In the meantime, the property has been used by local first responders for disaster training.

Local coffeeshop The Ground STL held their grand opening on Sunday, Sept. 22. The Ground is located at 109 Ballpark Dr, Ballwin, MO 63011. It is typically open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday - Saturday. The shop features locally brewed coffee, plants and local venders.
