About Us

The Marquette Messenger, Marquette High School’s student-produced newspaper since 1993, is read by approximately 4,000 people each edition. The Messenger comes out once every month and is available free to students. Subscriptions are available to those outside of the school. The Messenger totals 9 issues per year.

The paper has prided itself with a history of accolades and awards. It is consistently recognized as one of the top high school newspapers in Missouri. The staff is currently compromised of 24 students, who are required to have taken a prerequisite course. Emily Jorgensen, CJE, is the teacher adviser.

The Messenger seeks to maintain and enhance values of Objectivity, Credibility, Accuracy, and Balance.
