Varsity Soccer Regular Season Recap

Marquette varsity Boys soccer is winding down their regular season play for the 2015-2016 year. with an overall record of 13-16 as of Thursday, October, 22nd.Junior forward Tyler Gellman comments on the season. “ I think we played well as a team. We’re still young but we learned a lot from this year. “With two games left in the regular season, Howell Central at home and CBC away, Marquette is looking to attack these games with intensity in hope of a strong finish before districts.Junior defender, Will Diedrich, gives his thoughts on the regular season. “ We were not as consistent as we should be. We give 100% effort every game. We want to win, We desire for the win each game.”Gellman and Diedrich both mentioned that the team needs to work on things, but also some strengths that the team had as well.“ I think we need to improve on finishing and creating chances. We do well with getting the ball wide, and passing it in from the wings. We had a lot of goals come from corners as well,” Diedrich notes.“ We had positive attitudes throughout the year and with the tough games but we can take that with us next year and build our strength,” Gellman said.
