Most athletes at Marquette play one or two sports. But for senior Justin Malin, one just wasn’t enough. Malin plays not one, but four sports this 2013-2014 season.

In the fall, Malin was on the football team as a long snapper.

“While my end goal is to be an astronaut, I’d like to walk on my college team as a longsnapper,” Malin said.

Along with football, Malin has been wrestling for four years. Malin said wrestling was his favorite sport he participated in at MHS.

“My favorite part of wrestling is the commodity of the team,” Malin said.

Malin’s favorite memory of wrestling is going to state at Mizzou and beating the heavy weight wrestler at practice one day.

Besides his fall and winter sports, as a junior, Malin decided to go out for the tennis team. As a junior, he played on the upper- middle JV team.

This season, however, Malin has decided to play rugby in the spring, along with tennis.

“My friends from wrestling convinced me to play,” Malin said. “I talked to the coaches and they are letting me play both sports.”

Malin enjoys playing sports all year round. His favorite workout snack is cookies and/or cookie cake.

“It keeps me swoll and yoked,” Malin said.
