Krupp back to scoring after serious concussion

MHS was down by one with eight minutes to go and all eyes were on them to equalize. Jacob Krupp, senior, forward for the varsity soccer team, did just that.

Not only did Krupp make the game even, but three minutes after tying the game, he put in another to help MHS to a late 3-2 win over Francis Howell.

He’s played soccer for MHS since his freshman year and was also one of six juniors on the Varsity team last year. However, during a tournament at CBC High School, he was thrown to the ground and concussed, leaving him out for the remainder of the 2013 season.

For six months Krupp battled post-concussion syndrome, which kept him out for the beginning of the 2014 club season. Now he is ready to start his senior year off strong and with a bang.

Krupp also plays club soccer for St. Louis Scott Gallagher Gold team when he is not playing for MHS.  He scored 17 goals for his club team during the spring, which gave him confidence he could be a goal scorer for MHS.

“My personal goal is 25 goals this season,” Krupp said.  “The only way I can accomplish that is playing the way our coaches tell us to and being in the right spots.”
