Seniors to visit The City Museum for their field trip

It’s the seniors last hurrah, and they will be spending it climbing through an architectural marvel.

On Tuesday, April 28 the senior class is visiting the City Museum.

Dr. Ramsey, senior principal, let the senior advisory choose where they would like to go for their field trip.

“The seniors chose the City Museum because it is less money and the weather doesn’t matter,” Ramsey said.

In the past, many senior classes have gone to Six Flags, so this year they are changing it up.

“The seniors will be allowed to go wherever and do whatever they want in the City Museum, just as long as they stay in the actual museum,” Ramsey said.

This all-day field trip is $25 dollars a person and includes the ticket, the bus ride and all you can eat pizza.

At the city museum, students will see unexpected things like the largest pair of underwear, the largest pencil, a ferris wheel and a 10-story slide.

Joe Kimerle, senior, is upset that he will be spending his field trip at the City Museum.

“I think six flags is more age appropriate because a lot of people don’t fit in the city museum,” Kimerle said, “There is something at six flags for everyone and the city museum is dirty.”

Although the City Museum will cost less, Kimerle said he doesn’t care about cost.

“Also, if the weather is nice, then people will want to be outside,” Kimerle said.

However, Laura Reis, senior, disagrees.

“I like the idea of the City Museum because it is not weather dependent and it isn’t something you do every day,” Reis said.

All of Reis’s friends do plan on attending the field trip.

“My friends don’t like roller coaster, so the majority of them like the idea of the City Museum,” Reis said, “You won’t feel sick after all the rides and it will be less exhausting.”

Forms to sign up for the field trip are due today, April 10th.
