Balance is the key to health
Balance is the key to every healthy meal plan. The diet culture article featured in Marquette’s school newspaper expertly explains this. Eating disorders, fad diets, and corpulent teens all plague the halls of high schools across the nation. Eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, and exercising daily are all great goals for teens. However, only eating bananas for a week of starving yourself with four almonds a day is not the way to achieve a spring break body. I eat a large breakfast, medium size lunch, and an apple with peanut butter and granola for dinner. However, if I am in class and my teacher tosses out candy, I am going to treat myself. Finding a plan where you are getting all your nutrients as well as keeping your stomach from grumbling every hour on the hour is the best way to avoid eating disorders, stay mentally sharp, and have fuel for exercise.
