The French Crêperie opened on May 5 on 17409 Chesterfield Airport Rd next to the Chesterfield Commons East shopping center. The restaurant pulls you into the fascinating culture of France through its French-inspired artwork and menu full of delicious crepes.

A new restaurant featuring French cuisine opened in Chesterfield on Saturday, May 5, called the French Creperie.

French Creperie is located at 17409 Chesterfield Airport Rd next to the Chesterfield Commons East shopping center.

I had first heard about the restaurant from my friend, and being someone who loves crepes, I immediately wanted to go try the new restaurant.

When I arrived, I fell in love with the beautiful artwork plastered on the walls, as well as the small objects such as Eiffel Tower-shaped salt and pepper shakers that featured the culture and people of France. It fascinated me to see how the French Creperie was able to capture the feeling of France within St. Louis through a restaurant.

Once we were seated, we were able to order our food through an online menu featuring a

large variety of different crepes, varying from sweet to savory, along with a gluten-free option. The gluten-free option was something that appealed to my family as my mom and brother have Celiac Disease. This accommodation impressed me!

The French Creperie also offers many different drinks such as their L’OR Coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea.

Drinks cost roughly $2.80 per drink, and the crepes cost roughly $10.50 per crepe.

I ordered the L’amour crepe, a sweet, cinnamon sugar crepe with a caramel drizzle, powdered sugar and whipped cream on top. It was delicious and full of flavor, and they also put a little French flag on top of all their crepes, which was fun and added to the French aesthetic.

The wait in between ordering my crepe and receiving the meal took about an hour and 20 minutes because the restaurant was extremely busy, but the wait was worth it as my crepe was incredible.

I would recommend the French Creperie for anyone looking for a fun, new restaurant to try new food and experience a little slice of France.
