Athlete Profile: Ashley Yarbrough
Ashley Yarbrough, freshman, qualified for state early in the season. State was on Feb. 21st and 22nd.
Prior to state, Yarbrough won her conference.
“I was a little surprised, but I was happy to support Marquette,” Yarbrough said.
It has been some years since MHS has a diver qualify for state. MHS is proud to have a diver represent our school again.
“It makes me feel good since I was the first one in 10 years to do that but it was kinda surprising because Marquette is really good at swimming and diving,” Yarbrough said.
Yarbrough went to state with her fellow MHS students on the girls swim team.
Prior to state Yarbrough said, “I will do the best I can. My coach has faith in me. All of the swimmers and divers have faith in me. I’m just going to support them.”
