Student Profile: Kylie Heyer

Kylie Heyer, senior, is involved in many activities including field hockey, lacrosse, National Honor Society, Key Club, and Model United Nations. This summer, Heyer got the chance to try something new: intern for Make-A-Wish.

“My dad’s good friend is on the committee,” Heyer said.

As an intern at Make-A-Wish, Heyer got to work closely with her favorite sports team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Heyer said the internship is her favorite thing that she has been a part of.

During the internship, Heyer helped plan an event for the Cardinals’ wives and Make-A-Wish. She and the other interns made auction baskets and worked on marketing the event.

Although Heyer’s internship involved a lot of hard work, it also came with perks. Heyer got the chance to meet some Cardinals baseball players.

“I danced with Joe Kelly,” Heyer said.

Heyer wants to remain involved in the sports industry in the future. She plans to major in sports management in college and hopes to one day work for Major League Baseball.
