On May 1st and 2nd, Rockwood middle school students showed up at the Marquette pool to race cardboard boats as a part of the 8th grade Gifted Student Program. Marquette Gifted Resource teacher Megan Burian explains the history of the event and the middle school students’ learning objective. Later, Selvidge 8th grader Aidan Christian and Marquette Junior Lauren Steidtmann dive into their own perspectives of the annual event.
