Name: Courtney Baker

Year: Senior

Q: When did you make these pieces?

A: I made them over the summer and they are consecutive pieces. The left one was made first.

Q: What medium did you use?

A: Water color and Prismacolor pencils.

Q: Why did you make these?

A: It’s going to be a 12 panel short story. It focuses on this guy’s journey and the challenges he faces in life. It’s told in a short story format, like comic panels.

Q: What was your inspiration?

A: The style of my art is cartoon and animation-like so I wanted to play to my strengths and do a comic panel. It shows how you can overcome challenges in life and still come out on top.

Q: What message do you hope it will send?

A: You can overcome challenges and still come out on top- don’t let those challenges dominate your life.
