In the April Book Buzz, Nicole Scherder, Language Arts teacher, talks with Ray Holmes, librarian, about “The Woman They Could Not Silence” by Kate Moore. The book details the dramatic true story of Elizabeth Packard, a woman whose husband sent her to an insane asylum. Packard was relentlessly mistreated in the asylum, but instead of giving in to demands, Packard dares to fight back.
