Evan Forst, senior, is a defensive lineman on varsity football.
He said growing up around the sport and being big prompted him to start playing.
“I played flag football in second grade and played for three years, so in fifth grade I decided to sign up and play and I loved it!” Forst said.
Forst is one of the team’s key players this year said teammate Kameron Murray, senior.
“He’s a good leader by action,” Murray said. “During games he always has a positive attitude and gives 110 percent.”
Murray said Forst is well respected amongst his teammates because he’s smart and a good guy all around.
The team expects him to perform in all of his plays he said.
“We would like to see him become a dominant force on the field,” Murray said.
Forst said he tries hard during practice and has put in as much work as he can to prepare himself for this season.
“I’m ready to lead my team to a great year,” Forst said. “I have faith that we’re going to go far.”
