“I went through a rough patch, but after I kind of got closer to my family, which realize is really valuable. It was a stupid text that my mom read, and so she got really mad. She didn’t talk to me, gave me the silent treatment for like 4 months, I had my phone taken away I couldn’t go out with my friends. I didn’t socialize with anyone for a while, I felt like my life had ‘ended’. We talked about it and she was telling me what she thought, I talked about what I thought, and we’ve become closer. Honestly, because you go through a rough patch you see that life is much more than having a phone or hanging out with friends. I’m putting my family before anything else, because that’s what matters family is more important than anything else to me right now.” -Faye Ahmed senior
