The first annual Senior vs. Staff Volleyball game is set to kick off Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. The game is sponsored by the MHS Junior Advisory, who faced the task of coming up with the “event” portion of their Junior Leadership Project. The Advisory plans to send all proceeds to Friends of Kids with Cancer, a nationwide organization that contributes to cancer research.
According to Jeni Slane, junior officer, the game will consist of approximately 64 seniors and staff members. Both groups recently finished sending in their applications for the event.
Slane said the game will also consist of other events, such as a “three legged race,” and a pie-eating contest, similar to this school year’s homecoming week events.
“Everyone should come out,” Slane said. “It’ll be a great time.”
Justin Cook, senior, just sent in his application said he is eager to find out his during the games. Nonetheless, he would like to beat the staff.
“Bring it on, staff,” Cook said. “Bring it on.”
The game was postponed to Thursday, Jan. 27 due to the snow days and Curriculum Night being postponed to Wednesday, Jan. 26.
