Q: What would you like students to know about you?

“I’m a father of three girls. Oldest graduated from Rockwood in 2021, the other two are in high school and middle school respectively. I’m really good at trivia, and if I wasn’t in sales, I would be a high school history teacher and swim coach.”

Q: What are your goals for the BOE?

“Goals for BoE is to earn the respect of the entire community again. The last few years have been very challenging for the District.  As always, focus on student achievement and doing what we can for the teachers.”

Q: What policies will you advocate for?

“Review and revise the Challenge Materials policy.  And although not a policy, advocate for creating an ACT/SAT prep elective course.  This would help increase the District’s average score and allow more students to qualify for college scholarships.”

Q: How important are student, parent and staff voices in education?

“The school district, teachers and parents should be working together on what is most important: educating the children. Rockwood’s Curriculum committees are formed by administration and invited representative parents to decide what classes and material will be taught. I believe that successful curriculum development is a partnership between all stakeholders, including parents. Parents should be able to access materials that are put in front of students, but we should be hiring top educators and administrators who have the ultimate responsibility to prepare lesson plans that adhere to agreed upon curriculum.”
