Mr. Speech and Debate- Will Roach
If you could write an autobiography about yourself right now, what would it say?
I like movies. I have a lot of reviews [in the Messenger] of movies. I am kind of an average person. I have a bird. There’s not a lot to me.
How do you feel being nominated as Mr. Speech and Debate?
I’ve been on the debate team since I came to high school as a freshman, so it means a lot that I got picked for it because it’s the organization that I love the most at Marquette, the one I have the strongest connection to, where all my best friends are. So, it means a lot to me to be nominated for Mr. Mustang this year.
What do you like about speech and debate?
Probably the overnight tournaments whenever we go to Jefferson City in late January, early February, because that’s when you get to room with a lot of people. If they are people you like, it’s going to be a good time, and if it’s a mix of liking and not-liking, it usually makes for an interesting trip.
