“I’ve been ballroom dancing since I was 3. I started because my mom had a coworker at work who motivated her to sign me up for dance lessons. I started dancing in these little movement classes. When I was 10, I started doing dance competitions. Now I compete every March. My favorite type of ballroom dance is Swing. My favorite thing about dancing in general is that there is so much expression involved. You also get the opportunity to meet many different kinds of people. In all, it has been a really positive thing in my life,”
