Humans of MHS- Dan Czolgosz, Librarian
“I started working at Marquette when the school opened so I have been working here for 26 years, but this is my forty-second year at Rockwood. I worked 16 years at Lafayette, and I’ve worked at every school – except Eureka – with summer school and stuff. In my opinion, they are all good schools for different things, and they are slightly different but all great places. Part of the reason I came to Marquette was so my kids didn’t have to have me working in the same building they were attending school at. A lot has changed throughout the years – for the good. I think generally, Rockwood is a better school district than it was 26 years ago. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that the students are better than they were 26 years ago. My favorite part of my job is talking to the students and teachers and learning the different parts about their lives. It truly is a job that keeps you young, and that’s the reason I’ve stayed as long as I have. The job is also different every day. Occasionally, I’m shelving books, but I also get to help people with their meetings, fix projectors and things like that. The people I work with are also great people,”
